BCUIM Induction Course 2010
Date: 10-10-06
The annual BCUIM induction course aims to provide an introduction to the Black Country so that participants gain an appreciation of the social and economic context in which the Church is operating and within which they seek to minister and do mission.
DAY 1 (6th October) includes a short, guided tour of the the Black Country and a vision of its future
DAY 2 (14th October) contains a visit to meet senior City or Borough staff, to hear local issues as they perceive them, discover their plans to respond and learn how we can help shape decisions that they make to enhance our local community and how it is served and resourced.
DAY 3 (21st October) consists of a visit to a local factory with a workplace chaplain to see how the church connects with people and issues at work, followed by an opportunity to make theological connections with what has been experienced and to develop insights into how we may extend our ministry.
